Anetoderma

(From greek "anetos" = slack)

Clinics

Wrinling of the skin with a sensation of herniation on palpation.

Morphology

Loss of dermal elastic tissue. Elastotic acitivty has been shown in macrophages, granulocytes and fibroblasts.

In primary anetoderma there is no underlying associated disease, while secondary anetoderma can be associated to many other diseases (infectious, inflammatory or neoplastic).
